Beautifully Simple Product Package

I snapped this photo with my iPhone while in Bed Bath & Beyond tonight. Most of the packaging for their products are simplistic and attractive.

One thing I don’t like, is the UM in their logo:

Why did they connect the U and the M? No other letters are even that close together.

It’s minor, since the eye probably skips right over it without even noticing that the two letters touch.
